Whooo....

So I'm not a dead girl yet... Just dead tired.

I stage managed my first show officially!! It was definately a learning experience and I'm pretty proud of the work I did. I'm still not sure if I want to make it my permanent career, but at least now I know I can DO it if I wanted to.

I also was cast as Jojo in my Musical Theatre workshop class's production of Seussical, which is a huge deal for me. I've been really struggling to get the head of the theatre department's attention for a few years now. Everytime I went inot an audition, he just put his pen down and looked off into space. Signing up for the class even though I hadn't gotten his approval first scored me that attention. So much so that when I auditioned for Fiddler on the Roof he made a point of telling me how much I had improved, and I was cast as Shprintze, one of the younger daughters. The ASM running the audition told me he hadn't been giving many compliments that night (not like he ever does) and she was really impressed.

So basically I'm stoked about the way things are going now. I've really regained my confidence about my acting abilities and I'm going to try and point my career that way and split the difference between SM-ing and acting. I've also been doing a little modeling which is supercool. In fact I have a photoshoot this weekend that I'm super stoked about, although it's gonna be coooooold in da wateeeeer!!!

So... where does that leave my 'art'?

Weeeeell.... truth is I've been writing a lot. A lot a lot. A creative writing class will do that. So.... for anyone who's looking you should be seeing some of my short stories and if I get really tweaked on ideas for my novel you might just see a few chapters pop up.

Who knows??

Not me certainly!!!

I wanted to leave this as a reply to your wounderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL comment on :icondisneyfan-01: 's picture, but the morons there would give us both trouble, so I'm putting it here. From now on, read it as a reply:

Yay, somebody besides me realizes this.

Me, I try to give good critiques everywehre I can. But I try to be POLITE. and FRIENDLy. Hello, this is a place to have FUN. Critiquing is good, but people just go so far beyond that. they really are BASHING and being incredibly rude. And have you noticed that whenever somebody decides they like her work and that she's pretty professional (which Disney seems to think, too, having looked at her portfolio), these people jump right in and inform you, NO, NO, NO, I've decided she's not professional, therefore she's not!!! My opinion is fact, nobody can dare disagree with me! (Looks below your comment at :iconvictorianpaperangel: 's two cents) Oh, wait, you've already learned that. Nevermind.

so, thank you for offering a comment worthy of a real art community.

1. Awww, this is so cute! (friendly chattiness here)
2. I like how you did (specific statement of what you liked which is important, too)
3. next time why don't you try (polite critique on Minnie and Mickie here)

I'm actually laughing a little bit right now from relief; Reading your comment was like diving into an oasis in the desert. I can't believe what DisneyFan's page has become. I used to be able to come and enjoy her art in peace. Now I just find a nest of flames and bashers and immature "fans" and rude 'critics" everywhere I go. For gosh's sake.... So, thank you for making my day.
